The sooner you accept the fact that your children will inevitably stumble onto a virus that’s waiting for their tiny fingers to click download, the better chance you have at blocking it! If you find yourself still in the position of sharing your workspace with your children, this Tek Tip is for you!
As an employer or employee, we provide guest Wi-Fi for visitors of our businesses to use because it ultimately exists to inhibit them from having access to anything else like sensitive data and open channels of the office systems. This means, if they click on a virus, it will not spread through the whole office.
You can use this same concept with parents vs. children. The children are our “Visitors” and parents, you are the “Business”. By keeping your children on a guest Wi-Fi, it will inhibit them from having full access to the rest of the system for when they click on those cunning downloads.
